Jessica and her Youngest Crew Finish Campaign on a HIgh

Jessica has led the youngest crew ever to contest the Rolex Sydney to Hobart, into second place in the Sydney 38 One Design division and 37th overall. The Young Australian of the Year, was dunked in the Derwent River by UK crew member Pete Woodward at the completion of the race.

Ella Bache another Challenge took four days, two hours, 12 minutes and 58 seconds to make it to Hobart.

Jessica said her first Sydney to Hobart race as good as she could have hoped after arriving at Constitution Dock at 3.12pm yesterday afternoon.

"It's an amazing feeling and this result was as good as anyone could have hoped for. I am so proud of all the crew – they were just awesome," Jessica said.

"It's the best sailing I've ever seen them do. This project has been over a year in planning and It's what we've been training for these past three months. So the next couple of days are about celebrating a lot of hard work.”

Jessica and the crew also won their private race against her coach Chris Lewin, who skippered Deloitte As One to fifth place, just 31 minutes behind them.

"It was close, the whole way the race for the Sydney 38s, and it made for really exciting sailing, so getting second place is a great credit to everyone involved and we're all really happy with that.''

So a huge thanks to all our sponsors and support team who made all this possible.

Jessica will see in the New Year in Hobart with the crew.
